(Recently had the basement painted. Look for the updated pics)This spacious, beautiful 2 story with a basement is in the fabulous Rivendell Subdivision with a pool, clubhouse, play ground and more. It's a very large home with second living quarters. Seller bought the home with an unfinished basement and he put sheetrock, plaster, paint, foamfloors, a built-in bar, a full bath, and extra rooms, and a kitchenette. It could be an in-law suite or a great rec room. If the new buyer adds heating to the basement they will have an extra 1,000 sq foot home, making the home almost 4,000 sq feet. With a little TLC the possibilities are endless. He also added the concrete patio and added stairs from the deck on the main level. Right when you walk in you are greeted by the two story foyer and a nice den which could be used as an office or study. There is a dining room and a great breakfast area with lots of naturalsunlight beaming in while you eat your favorite meal. The kitchen has granite countertops and enough space for food with the pantry closet and plenty of cabinets and drawers for your dishes. There is a full bathroom and bedroom on the main level and you could use it for whatever your heart desires. Upstairs You have 3 bedrooms plus the owners suite and two full baths. Plus a walk in Laundry room. The owners suite is huge and it has enough room for an additional seating area. It also has multiple closets, dual sinks and a walk in shower and a garden tub. The exterior of the home is beautiful with Hardboard Siding and partial brick. The lot is fenced in and there is a creek that runs behind the home which gives you some privacy. This home is looking for that perfect buyer who wants to utilize all this space. Come see it today! There will be an open house this Saturday June 25th from 2-4 pm and Sunday from 1-3 pm. We hope to see you there!

History

Incorporated in 1833, Anderson was named for General Robert Anderson, a Revolutionary War hero and colonial statesman who arrived in South Carolina in the mid-1700s to help his friend survey the land. The city became widely known in 1894 when local engineer William Whitner developed a way to generate alternating-current electricity by harnessing the water of the Rocky River. This accomplishment is said to have sparked the Industrial Revolution in the South, and earned the town the “Electric City” nickname. In 1897, the first cotton gin in the world operated by electricity was constructed in Anderson County. The electricity boom paved the way for Anderson’s involvement in the textile industry into the late 1960s. This innovative city has continued to develop and evolve over time, continually attracting new commerce and industry.
